Are resorts in Dominican gay friendly?

my partner & I are planning a trip for next april & were wondering if resorts were gay friendly, from what I have been reading, it doesnt sound very encouraging; We don`t really plan on leaving the resort or anything like that, i`m just wondering about the resorts themselves; I just figure that all tourist at these resorts are not locals & are more open minded; what I want to know is, will we be fine? I don`t plan on making out at dinner table but(!) if we are affectionate at times will we be accosted?

twinklover 		You should have no problems in your resort, they want everyone`s money gay or straight just avoid outward displays of affection in public it`s in bad taste for straights or gays

gaykerk 		There is NO SUCH PLACE as `the Dominican`. there is DOMINICAN REPUBLIC & there is DOMINICA; but(!) no Dominican, so I can`t answer your question

NOW; if your question was about Dominican REPUBLIC. then I can tell you I lived in Santo Domingo for almost two years & I would definitely say that welcome mat is not out of obviously gay people. act normal & you should be OK. camp it up & you WILL have problems

charliegay 		I live in NYC but(!) I do travel lot to Dominican Republic & yes there are gay people there just like in the US. If you stay at a resort you will have no problem & even if you mingle with the locals I don`t foresee problem; you will probably just get a lot of look if you dress as a female or start kissing your partner on the street.
