Are men who like sex with transvestites / transexuals gay?

I know this guy who just got back from Thailand on vacation. He says he has always been straight; He said while he was there he hooked up with what they call there `Lady Boys; ` Now this wasn`t a case of him being fooled & thinking it was a woman & then finding out later it was a man. He said he knew from the beginning it was transvestite `Lady Boy`. He proceeds to say it was the best sex he ever had & that she (or is it a he?) was so pretty, so much prettier than most of the other `real` Thai women. My question is this, is this guy really gay since he got off on sex with `Lady Boy` that he knew was a transvestite? Why would any STRAIGHT man want to be with a transvestite `Lady Boy`? It seems like if you were really STRAIGHT you would want your women to be REAL women, not a preop or post op MAN. How can you really claim to be straight if you like sex with Lady Boys? It seems like you must be at least little gay if you know that it is really a man trying to look / dress / act like a woman you are with.

shvd28 		I don't think its too important to label everyone all the time. Sounds like this was a vacation with alot of excitement and fun. I wouldnt try to hard to disect it , he obviously got turned on and had fun away from home. No need to analyze so much, just my opinion

Why are you hung up on the concept?

You should not be hung up because you possibly don`t understand what the Thailand TS person is;

The guy visiting Thailand sounds very open minded, & doesn`t question himself. so why should you?

Thailand is a beautiful country & also happens to be a mecca for people with `G; I. D; ` to get affordable operations to reverse their physical gender.

This `guy` is obviously not your friend. & I wouldn`t be either;

I suggest you get on the net & learn about `Gender identity disorder`

I fail to understand why people have to label someone; It serves no purpose, but(!) to prove the type of person you are;
I wont answer that; because I`m not asking the question. but(!) I allready know

First, you need to know that transvestites (i. e ‘crossdressers’ since that’s the accepted terminology in today’s environment) & transsexuals are 2 totally different things; Crossdressers, 90% of which are completely heterosexual, enjoy dressing as women for their own enjoyment & fulfillment. Contrary to popular opinion, it has nothing to do with sexual activity or the desire for such. It is condition that the professional communities are discovering that a person is born with & has no choice about. the majority of all crossdressers have higher respect & deeper appreciation for women in general than the typical non-crossdressing male does, & has NO desire to be sexually involved with anyone of their own gender;

On the other side of the fence are the transsexuals; These are people (women as well as men) who want to be the gender opposite of which they were born; Many will undergo SRS (sexual reassignment surgery) after several years of therapy to achieve this goal. Even after having the surgery it is necessary for them to be on regular regimen of hormones to maintain the gender to which they have been changed. Interestingly enough, in spite of any/all surgical procedures these people have, their BIRTH gender will always be present in their chemical makeup so regardless of what their post-operation physical attributes are, internally they are still same gender they were at birth.

Now that you have the correct definitions for these people, your friend WOULD be considered gay if he knowingly had sexual relations with someone of the same sex – especially if he continued to do so. It might be slightly different IF person had had SRS & presented their outward appearance as being woman; “She-males” (those men who have had breast implants or hormones to make their breasts look like those of woman) STILL have male appendages in the lower regions & are STILL males regardless as to how much they look like women above the waist. So the same principals would apply to your friend if these were the ones he enjoyed sex with

serenity 		That`s actually not the case, In Thailand most `Lady boys` are simply considered women, Therefore, You are straight.
