Which UK city has the largest gay district? Bristol, East Anglia, Kent, Leeds, Warwick or York?

I am a gay college student planning on studying abroad; I am limited to the attending 1 of universities in 1 of the mentioned cities. Which city has the largest gay population?

gopbol 		Brighton has the largest gay community in the UK, but(!) that is not on your list; Leeds has a pretty good gay scene so that might be good 1 to consider.

serenity 		I would say either Leeds or Bristol.

Leeds Uni has a cosmopolitan attitude towards life, & Bristol as a city is quite liberal & bohemian.

Obviously, you will find all sorts in all places; some very accepting & some not so accepting.

As others have said, Brighton & Manchester are famous for their gay scenes; If they aren`t options, I`d choose Leeds first, then Bristol

gaykerk 		East Anglia isn`t a city; University is in Norwich, which has a very small gay scene.

From the list you`ve mentioned Bristol easily has the biggest gay scene, with around a dozen pubs & clubs, & caters for young student crowd as well as older guys, bears, lesbians & had a thriving TV/TS/TG scene too. Bristol (and Bath) also have number of active LGBT social & sports groups.

The scenes in Manchester, London & Brighton are bigger & more diverse, but(!) Bristol beats all the rest you have to choose from

charliegay 		I know it`s not on your list but(!) Manchester has a big gay community. It`s home to the gay village, which has many gay friendly bars, clubs & cafes. It`s really popular (loads of straight people visit there as well) There is also a gay pride festival that is held there every year
