Are there more gay people in America than China?

I`m sorry if this question is offensive to anyone, but(!) I`m trying to figure out something that involves this question.

An estimated 10% of random group of people are gay;

10% of USA`s population: 30,382,464
10% China`s population: 133,004,454

Therefore, China has more gay people

asian countries aren`t very open with lesbian, bisexual, gay etc.
they are not yet accepted by society in asian countries ;
i`m pretty sure it is looked down upon

For those who gave me a thumbs down, this was meant as a joke; Iran suggested a few weeks ago that they did not, or had very few homo-sexuals amongst them. Lighten up

As for the U; S., 30,382,464 could possibly be gay, if 1/10 people are gay theory is true, including people who we presume are straight; Likewise in China

gaymentop 		Homosexuality was illegal in China until 1997. Same-sex marriages are not recognized.

There might be lots of gay people in China, but(!) they definitely don`t have the benefit of a strong LGBT community; So they probably wouldn`t publicly express their homosexuality;

Just by how many people there are in China, though, there`s a good chance of there being quite a few gay people
