would straight woman make money bartending at gay bars?

I am about to get my bartending certificate in the dc virginia area. I love the energy in gay bars & would like to apply there, but(!) I also want to make money. Has anyone seen woman working in gay bar, or worked in 1 with a straight woman?

bobdilan 		I haven`t seen many women working in exclusively gay bars, but(!) I have in mixed gay and lesbian bars quite often; You`ll make good money if bar is crowded; Back when I lived in DC, we used to tip $1 per beer + rounding change. It wasn`t until I went to bars outside of NY & DC that I realized that people were still tipping quarters
