serenity 		there is no % percentage for that but(!) some commit suicide because parents like TARA arent acepting of it others are killed becaused of hatred like TARA others are kicked out because people like tara!
i don`t see what the problem is being homosexual is like having red,black,blonde,brown hair,blue,gray,green,black,brown eyes you don`t see people dying because of that.

twinklover 		Within a year? That`s awfully specific. It`s relatively rare for most people in America to be killed for being gay (though pretty much anything short of being killed is still obscenely common). Getting kicked out is probably 1 of the bigger threats that is actually carried out;

There are no accurate statistics on the LGBT community, unfortunately, due to nature of the grouping

bobdilan 		Depending on which country and which city you live in, the stats for homeless LGBT kids range from 25% to almost 50% (of homeless youth). Most of those were kicked out of home for being queer.

There are no stats available on the percentage within LGBT community, as far as I know, but(!) anecdotally, it`s quite high
