Do you think gay love stories are romantic?

Like books about gay couples or movies & things like that;

I`m not homophobic, but(!) I don`t find gay love stories to be `romantic` or cute. They don`t make me go `Awww, how sweet` like straight love stories do.

gaymentop 		Never really thought about it, but(!) now that you mention it, I don`t. & I have some gay friends that I get along with very well, so it`s not because I `hate` gay people. I just don`t think people are used to the idea, because romance & typical love stories have always been about a man & woman

twinklover 		I like love stories in general, it shouldn`t matter whether couples are gay, straight or bisexual, but(!) nonetheless, I love them! Straight people sometimes can`t tolerate them because they are biased & can`t get the concept into their heads & as you can see, for those people that answered & think that gay love stories are romantic, they all got thumbs down & for those saying they don`t like them, they got thumbs up

torogay 		Well since I`m traditional & therefore ` intolerant `, not ` progressive `, not liberal or ` modern ` then yes I don`t like them. they are not romantic at all. they are bad

I think of balance. design ; a man & a woman complete 1 another & balance each other. moderation ; together their differences unite them & make them stronger. homosexual couple to me just seems extreme ( like ` extreme left wing or right wing ` from American politics ^_^ ). they just don`t fit each other & there`s no balance ; they were not designed for that

CriMsoNMiSSinG - I see that you ` picked ` me in particular. you forgot that other ` horrible ` people like Stephanie ( & many many others whom are not like me at all ) are also ruining the world ^_^

As if saying homosexuality is unnatural is worst thing a person can do ; worse than murder or lying. when they are all the same ; immorality & sin is sin. there is no ` high ` degree or ` low ` degree. they are all same thing ( even though I disagree that seeing homosexuality as wrong is bad )

When did ` tolerance ` ( of immorality ), ` if it feels like it do it ` & ` as long as it doesn`t hurt anybody ` become morality ? Are they even moral truths ?

I know that I will get bashed but(!) why should I care ? the world is getting sicker, losing values, sometimes don`t even believe in a right & wrong & believe that everything is relative or point of view but(!) I will keep on. homosexuality is not natural. sometimes truth hurts but(!) in the end the truth sets 1 free ( in most cases )

gaykerk 		Most tolerant people would agree; I think it is because straight people can not identify with concept. Seeing that kind of thing or reading it in book is still a little taboo, even if you are not homophobic.

As straight man I have to say `Brokeback Mountain` is good movie though

charliegay 		Not at all. I kinda get um disgusted (Im sorry).
Like I just don`t see the romantic-ness in it & it doesnt give me that falling off cliff feeling. Mostly cause I cannot relate to it & because I`m straight;

I also cannot stand a book from guy`s point of view because I cannot relate to guy because I`m not guy (there are a few exceptions like Harry Potter).
I don`t hate gay people by the way. I`m neutral (as long as they don`t affect my kids);
Thats just how I am
