Anyone against gay couple adoption?

I am working on a speech debate assignment for speech class. I have to debate against gay couple adoption; Personally I am not against it nor for it but(!) I was assigned this topic because I was absent the day my classmates chose their debate topics & the instructor assigned me this topic. Anyway, I need reliable Information on why people are against gay adoption & why is is wrong. I need all reliable, truthful information I can get. I also need to find a true story(ies) of people that have experienced this situation that can back up my case. I thank you for your answers.

torogay 		If you`re not against it, you shouldn`t do it; Ask for another topic, 1 which you do actually support; Besides, if someone is against it in your class, or there are homophobes, then you`re just giving them more reasons to hate on gays & not let all people have equal rights

mensexonly 		Yeah, Moonlight, those orphans would be so disgusted having to leave their orphanage or foster home & be adopted by a loving couple, it`s so gross. I`m sure they sit around all day going, `I`m desperate for some stable parental figures in my life; but(!) no queers!`

Anyway, romola, I wouldn`t ask in here specifically, because as you can see from the above answers, there`s not a lot of people in here who are against it, & those that are are generally trolls like Moonlight anway. religion & spirituality board will no doubt give you much more comprehensive answers.

I`ve got to say, if I was teacher, I wouldn`t select this topic in a million years. Imagine if someone in the class had been adopted by gay people. Is this at a religious school or public?

gaynudist 		I am fully for adoption of children by Gays; as a Single parent or as a couple. Studies disprove all the bunk the Judeo/Christian mongers say. & in fact, adopted children of Gays tend to do better in school, get more educaton, go on to college in greater numbers, & lead very balanced lives. So where`s the problem?
My lover & I raised my 2 sons. they got no more bunk in school than did anyone else, & in fact, my younger was capt. of Football Team & Softball leagues; My older was very popular, but(!) did not care for sports. Sexual orientation was a well know fact in the household from as far back as I can remember, both my kids are straight; Both are married;
All this bunk about gay parents `turning` their kids gay is ridiculous;
The incidence of child molestation in gay Households of their children is markedly less by percentages than in Straight households!

jimmygay 		If kid being raised by gay couple is the victim of bullying it is because the attitude of parents. the parents who indoctrinate their children with the idea that gays are somehow bad people are encouraging their kids to bully gay kids & those with gay parents
