What exactly is the problem with gay marriage & adoption?

Some people will say that only man & woman can get married, but(!) why? Now if you say the Bible, why should book dictate how other people live their lives? Some people also say gays shouldn`t be able to adopt because they make their children homosexuals, yet that has never been any proof for this. If some say a family is a man, woman, & child, what single parents? What about orphanages where kids that aren`t related consider themselves family? What about grandparents raising kids? What about 2 STRAIGHT men that are helping to raise child? What about 2 straight women?
These are considered to be families, but(!) when 2 people of same gender that love & care about each other want to get married, people freak out; My question is why? What is the problem? When it says `What single parents?` there should be an `about` there. You bigots realize it isn`t choice to be homosexual, right? & I don`t believe in your holy book, so should your make believe laws apply to me? the next step is marrying animals? Really? You do realize not all homo-sexuals have sex, don`t you?

I personally believe that many homo-sexuals are born that way, but(!) that is not a good enough excuse

The norm is for 1 man to meet 1 woman. they marry & have kids. kids learn from them & also learn by watching a role modeling.
Gays role model a deviant behaviour.
why would we subject children to this?
All it leads to is an increased incidence of STD`s, AIDS, depression, suicide, alcohol & drug abuse & gay bowel syndrome

gopbol 		Yeah. those christian folks get all worked up over homosexuals, they claim you cannot trust ANY homosexual to be left alone with young children. but feel free to trust Priest or a Boy Scout Leader even though there is far more evidence suggesting your child has higher likelihood of being raped & abused by both Priest or a Boy Scout Leader

mensexonly 		I don`t freak out; I simply see it as another sin that we, as humans, do everyday. It`ll never go away; It`s saddening to see how popular it is to label yourself homosexual because. It`s about morals. Honestly, the next step would be legally allowing man to marry animal. When do we stop giving into our own sick thoughts? By your standards, I should be able to murder & get high on crack on everyday. Let`s let every 1 do whatever hell they want

mensexonly 		There has actually been some interesting studies into the positive effects of gay & lesbian influences into cultures that accept their help willingly, 1 showing that homosexual couples enhance the family unit by supporting breeding parents as secondary parents & thus help to raise children in a loving family unit (sorry I don`t have link to the study handy). Looking at this result without bigotry we can come up with some conclusions that defy the popular belief that homosexual parents are therefore ill-equipped to handle task of parenthood;

It really is a shame that hatred can blind people to fact that many children are left in foster homes & orphanages because of lack of adopting parents & we just ignore resource that is ready & willing

gaymentop 		Others can believe as they like, but(!) I don`t allow ancient writings of primitive men, with their fantasies, hallucinations & prejudices dictate how I live my life;

Notice how some of the other answers are `judging others?`

It`s supposed to be forbidden to judge others in the Christian religions, but(!) they like to do so anyway, as it`s lot more fun, going around pointing fingers at others. It gives them that smug, self-righteous, obnoxious, `holier-than-thou` attitude;

Anyway, it makes no difference to me if 2 men or women decide to get married.
Heterosexual marriages these days don`t seem to last.

And everyone seems to ignore the fact that just about every homosexual is the product of a hetero-sexual union & upbringing. So if they adopt, what`s the difference?

bobdilan 		There is nothing wrong with it; 2 people who are truly gay & honestly love each other should have same legal rights as any other couple; the christian god would agree with me, isn`t he god of free will? & as long as 2 parents are loving & able nothing else should matter; Christians seem to hate this `sin` most of all these days. but(!) x tians do you believe your religion should effect laws in the land of the free?

You can either follow your lusts & end up in the lake of fire for all eternity or you can believe in Jesus & follow Him into heaven. It`s your choice to sin or not to sin, you do have a choice. Sex with another male is a sin & you can chose not to do it;

You have no excuse; God does not judge you for being Gay, but(!) He will judge you for having sex with another male; You can say no to Homosexuality! It`s not that hard to do!

The problem is with people who enjoy being enslaved to bronze-age dogmas & inane beliefs; Fear makes people think & do bad things. Fear of unknown & misunderstood is 1 of the most common fears of humans; the Bible will not help you face this.

You have a right to live YOUR life in any way you see fit, as long as it doesn`t harm anyone else. You don`t have a right to impose your strange beliefs on others.

Mate, you should read what you type BEFORE pressing enter. Being gay is more than lusts & sex. Even if it weren`t, that`s no excuse for people to be ignorant. There is no sin, anyway; What can you do which would affect the Creator of the Universe? Do you really think being which can create the nuclear furnaces we call stars can be bothered by your puny actions?

gaynudist 		Why when talking about homosexuality do people always have to say It`s wrong because god said so? Not everyone has to live by the code of a supposed god, that`s part of freedom of religion;
And if a couples sexual preference influences childs sexual preference, why do straight people have gay kids?
