I am sure there have been ceremonies performed in church buildings. (read cjp`s post)There are many denominations that call themselves affirming to all. However.

What tangled webs people weave, thinking gay marriage is actually a union when there cannot actually be the physical uniting of 1 to the other.

Calling it marriage between other than a man & a woman is crude & deceptive to the propagation of human race;

To some who actually believe in Gods point of view, & creation design, they will say it is a no no on that basis as well

Well - sure - lots of churches support gay marriage - even if it isn`t legal in the state. Often gays will have sort of symbolic wedding. Lots of the better churches - like Episcopal or Congregational - aren`t quite as filled with hate as fundi churches

There have even been gay Ministers permitted under some denominations, so I`m sure gay marriage is not only recognized but(!) also performed within them as well

Some churches are more liberal than others, & will claim to be any denomination under the sun.

Yes; Not all Christian denominations are homophobes. Quakers, some Anglicans, some Presbyterians, for example, celebrate same-sex marriages. Reform & Reconstructionist Judaism do too, & probably some branches of darmic religions, but(!) I`m less informed about them.

Also: Catholics are Christians. the Roman Catholic Church is the single largest denomination of Christianity

Since there are homosexual episcopalian priests, I`m willing to bet they`ve married gay couples as well

No, because homosexual marriage is impossible by definition. Therefore there has never been a homosexual marriage anywhere; but(!) some liberal churches have been willing to go through the motions, if that`s what you mean

Back in the ancient days of yore. `gay` used to mean `happy. `

So, in that light, I`d say there were quite a few gay weddings in churches all around the world;

In my personal opinion, if people would stop worrying about WHOSE getting married & focus more on whether or not they are truly happy. then, ironically, there might be a lot more gay (in the other sense of the word) weddings in the future

United Church of Canada, which is the second largest Christian church in this country, recognizes & performs same sex marriage; They are not fringe group. They make the Baptists look like the little leagues!

This from their Wiki site: Believing that marriage is a celebration of God`s love, church recognizes & celebrates all legal marriages, including same-sex couples, previously divorced people, & couples of different religions. the actual policy of whom to marry is left up to the church council of each pastoral charge. For instance, 1 congregation might not allow same-sex marriages to be performed in their building, while another allows all marriages regardless of sexual orientation; [6]

There has been a few gay marriages in self-called Christian churches in Massachusetts; but(!) these churches aren`t really Christian based & don`t believe in the Trinity & don`t have sacraments & such
