Why do straight men end up having gay sex in prison?

And then they only have sex with women when they get out. How is that possible? I mean, if you`re born straight OR gay? Plenty of straight, single men can go a long time without any female contact, but(!) they still don`t have urge to have sex with men.

Aren`t these guys really bisexual? If you get off by having sex with the same gender, you`re simply NOT straight; It doesn`t matter that these guys don`t fall in love with men or don`t have romantic feelings, they`re still not hetero-sexual IMO. There has to be some sort of attraction. BTW, I`m NOT talking about rape; Clearly the victim doesn`t have a choice. I`m talking when they`ve consented to have sex! @ Tineeblusher - Does that mean all men are latently bisexual? Getting off is more important than partner`s gender?

mensexonly 		Not really; Some of them have been in their for decades, or possibly life; They may NEVER have sex again. So they`re gonna have sex with guys because there aren`t any girls around

charliegay 		No, they aren`t bi. the fact is it`s all they can do for a certain amount of time to feel any kind of pleasure; What`re you gonna do in prison where there are no girls & nothing to do? You`re gonna get pleasure in some hole, somehow

But I don`t think most (there still would be some) men in prison when they have gay sex, care about guy, they don`t (well in most cases) have sex, they just f*** 1 another. They don`t kiss, touch, feel, they just go straight to the thrusting;

They just want to f*** something, as many males do, & when there is sexual oppresion & lack of women, many males would do that. many won`t at all, but(!) many will

torogay 		I think you are on to something a little bit about how all men (or, taking it further all people) are latently bisexual. but(!) the difference between men having sex in prison & single men having any female contact, is that single men out of incarceration at least have the ability to PURSUE female contact, whether they can get it or not, there`s an attempt for it, where as men in jail, aside from the sexual aspect, have nothing but(!) each other in regards to companionship & camaraderie, & given the confined nature of their lives, just need this 1 thing in order to keep themselves sane

mensexonly 		It happens when you trap so many men together in the same place with no access to women. It`s also a power thing, you gain power over that person by doing them up butt. Nothing new, it`s been happening since dawn of time

gopbol 		before I say anything, one, i`m not guy; & two, i`ve never been to prison; so i`m not speaking for men.
but;
i think an obvious factor is being raped, many times those men who get raped will stick to women when they get out, though some don`t;

and other causes could be for skin-ship. loneliness, sexual frustration. if they can`t have a woman, the next best thing to their hand would probably be another male. ?

for protection, if you were new to prison & you were quite weak, or scared, or unsure how to look after yourself, you would want to have a friend, right? sometimes bigger, or smarter, or more respected prisoner, could offer the new prisoner protection, & price could be to share beds.

some men can go without sex for long time whilst others can`t. so that`s probably around the time sexual frustration comes.
and the fact that they are cooped up in a small cell with other men could be factor.

there was program I watched where 10 male birds were put in 1 cage, whilst 10 female birds were put in another; less than a week the male birds started to mate & fight with each other, whilst the female birds didn`t do much.

although they are birds I reckon it`s similar principal.

though their are probably loads more reasons
