In general, how often do gay men bareback during casual encounters?

It seems pretty common to me. some of the gay meeting websites are full with this, a few safe sex posts, few unspecified, & hardly any seeking marriage or that sort of thing;

Does this mirror what happens in real life to most? Or does it just mirror those who use internet to wet their whistle? I normally dated people in real life, & never really encountered this. I thought few would take the risk; but(!) now that I`ve met people who go online a few months ago, I see that it appears more common than I previously thought it was.

serenity 		I can actually say i`ve never had casual sex with a stranger; the only times i`ve had sex is with someone I`m in a relationship with; I`ve met guys many times too but(!) I would never have sex with them upon first meeting; call me old fashioned but(!) I need there to be feelings & emotions there I can`t just have sex with a random stranger b/c then I feel slutty

gaymentop 		casual encounters are for sleazy people who can`t get it any other way so most likely all the time since they are sleazy enough to post or reply to 1 of those ads

jimmygay 		Unfortunately, barebacking is all too common. especially among younger gay men. Youth seems to give the euphoric feeling of immortality; which, in truth, is ruse; HIV/Aids & other STDs are taking more & more of toll to both men & women; Youth may be an age for experimentation, but(!) it shouldn`t be an age of stupidity. Look closely at most of the recent porn. you will notice condoms all over place. It`s the wise person who doesn`t take unnecessary risks

serenity 		OK this is really good question; I happen to know lot of guys who are safe & who don`t look for bareback; only way I would do BB is if I was in love, we were both tested & had negative results. That`s both having HIV- & STD- results. I am so scared of getting something as many are that most of GLBT people have safe sex only;
There will always be people who believe themselves to be immune to diseases that can kill them. Yeah, immune until they become infected; I think it`s tragic when someone loses their battle with HIV but(!) anyone who gets infected with AIDS in this day & age should be ashamed for not doing something as simple as wearing a condom. It goes hand-in-hand with idiots of the world who still smoke or who pick up the habit even when we are certain it kills people. Hope this helps. Rob R

bobdilan 		I guess it varies. I`ve never done it. most of the time I would ask first before coming over: `Do you have condoms or should I bring some?`. making it pretty clear that they`re a requirement
