Where does 1 meet masculine gay guys, other than internet dating sites?

I`ve only been to gay bar once, but(!) I felt like everyone there was cruising for sex & I was rather uncomfortable. I`m in my early twenties, in medical school, masculine & I`m interested in guys that are masculine as well (nothing against femmes); Are my only options to brave `the scene` of to date online?

jeez; being gay sure can be tough lol

jimmygay 		Well, going to 1 gay bar isn`t going to help you. You really have to put yourself out there & try new things, meet new people; best way to meet guy is by joining a hobby/neighborhood sport in your area. For example, if you`re interested in baseball, check out online if there`s a gay team in your area. Or go on Craigslist, under community & see if there are any gay groups out there looking for an extra player for their team;

If you like books, seek out a glbt bookstore in the area and/or go online & see if group meets up somewhere.

There are options, you just have to look for them, not all of them fall in your lap;
And so you know, I would tell a straight person same exact thing if they asked this same question.
They may have it easier, but(!) we have it better

serenity 		You should start with areas you have interest. the gym if you like working out. Home depot if you fix stuff; Both was great suggestions. I ride motorcycle & meet lots of people doing that; I also rescue dogs. people are out there you just need to go out there & look

mensexonly 		you have to frequent places gay guys go. you are gay, where do you go?

Dr. Phil gave women advice to meet men. go where they frequent- shop alone at Home Depot, ect some where that is a target rich environment.

Take the same advice.

Also, through friends, aka blind dates. I am a straight female but(!) know lots of gay guys. You should `network`, LOL !
