Where do I meet `normal` gay guys, other than online?

Sorry if I offend anyone by using the term `normal`, but(!) I just mean guys that aren`t femme, have jobs that don`t have to do with theater, arts, music, etc., & aren`t into leather, bears, etc; ? Am I asking for too much?
I`ve only been to gay bar once, but(!) I felt like everyone there was cruising for sex & I was very uncomfortable. Btw I`m am in my early twenties & in medical school. the stupid & possibly naive question is due to the fact that I`m still mostly in the closet & am rather inexperienced in matter; Thanks in advance Groove: I`ve got nothing against those people, It`s just that I can`t relate and, personally, I find it lot easier to like someone that I can relate to

I guess you could try volunteering at state nursing home, may be you can help someone there too

are you looking for a person who have no feeling to arts or music or theatre in order to fit your need

will at least they have a job & ti`s up to them what they like for career

my self I don`t like the bar scene or even into any of this groups

but I think I would be more than happy to meet people who interested with arts & music
