charliegay 		No it absolutely is not. My brother is straight & he never watches sports; My dad is straight & he HATES watching sports, along with more than few of my straight friend who dislike watching sports on TV; Also, I know of many gay men who like watching basketball, baseball, soccer, Olympics, hockey, American football; etc etc & are avid fans of some teams

So no, it is not an accurate assumption to be honest, & too generalizing

serenity 		no. a few of my boyfriends weren`t into sports; I mean they might be metro but(!) being fan of sports is like being a fan of music; not everyone likes same thing & it is sorta sterotyping. just cause he isn`t into sports he has to be gay. ?

twinklover 		No being gay to it`s core means IMO that your primary source of attraction & physical arousal comes from someone of the same sex; Anything more or less is a stereotype & really does not prove or suggest that a person is gay. may be some gay people disproportionately have some characteristics of that are effiminate but(!) no. Lots of men have interest outside of sports in fact I love sports, the best place to see half naked musculare bodies & be totally conspicious. LOL! He could perfer music, art, culture or intellectual pursuits doesn`t mean he`s gay

No, it is not `safe to assume that he`s gay` if guy doesn`t play or watch sports. On the converse side, it is not `safe to assume` that he`s straight if a guy plays or watches sports

jimmygay 		Uh, why would that make him gay? I mean, gay means that you are attracted to men. Just because you don`t enjoy something that a lot of other guys like, doesn`t mean that you are gay.
Especially guys who like; dance & stuff. Quit saying they`re gay. It doesn`t mean anything
