How do straight guys react to sharing a locker room with a gay guy?

I`m bisexual & I have a boyfriend; I`ve been wanting to come out to my friends but(!) the majority of my friends are guys & I`m on a lot of sports teams; I`m scared other guys may feel nervous around me because of it, especially since we share a locker room & undress & shower around each other.

torogay 		i`m ok with people who are gay, lesbian or bisexual;
but I would feel uncomfortable with undressing in front of a lesbian or bisexual girl
I don`t mean to offend anyone that`s just my personal opinion

charliegay 		they will freak, pretty much. they`ll worry that you`re looking at them naked & checking them out. just because you`re gay doesn`t mean you`re attracted to every single guy out there, but(!) odds are that`s not going to be first thing most guys, especially your age, are going to think. it wouldn`t hurt to remind them of this though, if they comment on locker room situation when you come out

establish that you`re not a creeper gay-that you`re respectful & care about other people`s levels of comfort; wait until the other guys are out of the showers, or until there are only a few left; change your clothes in a stall or in corner facing the wall, & don`t linger. that way, no on can accuse you of looking at other guys naked. they will feel nervous, so do your best to put them at ease by ensuring there is not way for them to feel like you`re checking them out

it`s not fair that you`re going to have to behave differently, & it`s not fair that you might lose some friends over coming out (which I admire, you`re really brave). but(!) you`re obviously respectful & considerate of the way other people feel. be yourself, but(!) remain conscientious of others

gopbol 		To all women out there who are saying that this should not bother men, how would you feel if straight men were freely allowed into your changing rooms & toilets? I agree that just because they are gay does not mean they find every man sexually attractive, but(!) it does mean they will judge them in a sexual way & this is obviously going to make them feel uncomfortable; It is down right stupid to argue that it shouldn`t bother them on grounds that just because someone is gay, doesn`t mean they find all men attractive. Just because man is straight does not mean he finds all women attractive, yet they are still not allowed into their changing rooms for obvious reasons

twinklover 		I`m a girl & it wouldn`t bother me at all to be in same locker room with a bisexual or lesbian girl; Guys DO tend to be more judgmental about bi- & homosexuality, though. but(!) you shouldn`t have to keep it a secret if you don`t want to; Start off by telling your very closest & most trusted friends first. You might end up losing friends but(!) you`re better off with friends who can accept you for who you are. Let them know that you just see them as friends.

torogay 		I`m a girl so I don`t know if I will be much help, but(!) there were some bi/lesbian people in my locker room & I didn`t mind. That`s like saying a straight girl checks out & wants to sleep with every guy she see`s. I have plenty of bisexual & lesbian friends. only 1 I have problems with is the 1 who I used to be best friends with:/ That`s only because she would start grabbing my boobs it was in public to! I really didn`t appreciate her invasions of my privacy & I wouldn`t have any more tolerance for a guy doing that to me. Don`t be afraid to be yourself, start by telling your closest friends so you don`t have everyone shocked & your not the talk of school. Eventually once your friends have become accustomed to it come out to everyone. Having support will be very helpful. Good luck!(:
