When travelling: Do you prefer `gay travel` or normal travel packages?

Please state why you prefer your choice (or why you dislike 1 that you don`t choose)

I`m just curious about how popular gay travel is for gay people & why they do or do not like it.

charliegay 		I do not do `packages` or `tours` I do however find out all info I can about gay life & businesses in a location before I book my trip; I try to book gay guest houses or hotels when possible. if I were the type to take packaged tours I would definately go the gay route although they tend to be more expensive than nongay tours

More to the point, It depends a bit on your age, budget, & partnership status.

`Gay travel packages` sometimes mean `sex` and `hookup` packages & other times they mean `things we thing the generic gay man would like` rather than simply `gay freindly` travel. Be sure you know exactly what you are paying for.

Gay & gay friendly resorts are much better than they used to be. but the truth is that some of the `gay only` ones are pretty gross & almost every resort will be `gay freindly` if you throw around enough gay money.

If you travelling with a partner (rather than a group of friends), if you have money, & if you are over the age of 25/30 truth is that a gay/gay friendly travel agent will get you better deal & a you`ll have a better time than you can get with a `gay package; `

bobdilan 		I prefer gay travel. me & my gf are planning trip with Olivia; I have traveled in the past with such airlines as Delta, Contin;, AA, etc; I think the good thing about a lot of airlines now is that they have a section of their airlines specifically for helping lgbt people; gay travel is great, they know how to relate, they know what type of interest are more appealing, & usually it is a place or with a group of lgbt people as well
