Open Question

Where are some good places (cities & states) to travel for young gay couple (open to all men & women)?

Me & my boyfriend are just really starting off solid & hopefully long-term relationship, since we are just starting I wanted to take him somewhere that is not too out there as far as extravagant or outrageously expensive ( I am a Capricorn so we kind of like to save the best for later on in a relationship )- that being said I prefer to go somewhere gay friendly but(!) not everywhere we turn It`s another gay flag or gay couple-- we love gay community & support it 100 percent but(!) just somewhere we can be couple & enjoy & relax being just that & not be in a gay centralized area (san francisco, etc; ) Either extreme would be nice as far as beach or busy night life city or something fun & thrill seeking I am not well traveled as you can tell - thank you all for any of responses given & I will make sure to select best answer;
