But, as in most conservative nations, you just have to be discreet; Actually, there`s an awful lot of gay action in the Middle East, especially between men; but(!) in many countries there are periodic crack-downs on gay clubs & parties, & public displays of affection are generally an absolute no-no. Respect local sensibilities & don`t draw attention to yourself. Generally, you`ll find that foreigners are treated with respect in the Middle East, even when they`re trying to rip you off
