I`m gay male from Asia in USA PhD program in religion; Why are gays/gay-friendlies in R&S so like to insult?

I have been surprised especially to see so many gays & gay-friendly posters on this forum behave so rudely. It seems that if someone doesn`t completely agree with your views, you call them homophobes. Even I as a gay man, if I ask a question about a Bible passage, I get many insults. & if I make clear that I`m gay when I post a question about the Bible, I still get insulted, often with statements like `You must be self-hating gay man yet to fully come out of the closet!` (Apparently if someone is trying to understand the Bible & Christian views, they are automatically some kind of traitor?)

WHY the ANGER & RUDENESS, EVEN WITH OTHER GAYS IN THIS FORUM?

Related question for American/USA gays: Frankly, after spending few months on R&S asking questions about gay-related topics, I must admit that even as a gay man, I have come to wonder if you are trying to destroy your own prospects for progress in the pursuit of gay rights! You play gay card much like some overplay the race card. worst strategy you can use to combat bigots is to convince everyone that you are bigot! I`m sick of hearing everyone being called a `homophobe` just because they don`t agree with everything you say. You shame us all. Why not learn tactics from an America civil rights hero: Martin Luther King Jr. ? He won over the rest of his country to his cause. He did work hard at alienating people by calling them names! (Listen to some recordings of how he instructed civil disobedience protesters. ) WHY DON`T AMERICAN GAYS LEARN FROM the EXAMPLE OF MARTIN LUTHER KING? Why not learn from his appeal to Biblical justice to seek equal rights for everyone?

Why? Why not?


Okay; Now I suppose gays who disagree with me will call me a self-hating homosexual still afraid to come out of the closet;
