What is gay cruise? Are straight men allowed to join the gay cruise?

I guess gay cruise means ` a ship where you can only find gay men; They have fun on the ship ? `

jimmygay 		I`ve been on several gay cruises (and also with a group of 300 guys on a regular cruise); It`s my absolute favorite vacation. Just ask any of the crew & they will tell you they love the gay cruises vs. `newlywed or nearly dead` regular cruises, because people are there to have fun vs. complain about how things aren`t `perfect` like their last cruse; It`s mostly a 20-40`s younger crowd, but(!) there are all age groups on board.

Basically, a gay travel company like RSVP or Atlantis Events charters a 1800-2200 person cruise ship, arranges custom entertainment, & the fun begins. biggest difference from a regular cruise is club-style dance parties on deck every night from about 11pm-4am, complete with DJ`s from the coasts, huge speakers & computerized lights, & even lasers on Atlantis` cruises; There is usually theme of some sort, like `the White Party` were everyone wears all white clothing, & some get pretty creative like angles, white cowboys, or mostly just white underwear. During days at sea, there is usually a themed `tea dance` in the afternoon, such as 70`s Disco (more fun sexy outfits) or 80`s Divas. Also, I`ve heard from crew that they go through three times the alcohol of a regular cruise, probably because most everyone is up all night. They usually have to buy more cases in port during the week because the ship was `drank dry`. but(!) I`ve never seen anybody obnoxiously drunk; probably because they burned it up dancing.

Other than the dance parties, it`s pretty a typical cruise with casinos, pool lounging, formal night (with a few all-out sequined drag outfits to be seen), etc, just with gay clientle sitting next to you (about 5%-10% lesbian except for the Rosie`s R`Family or Olivia lesbian cruises); the entertainment in the theater is usually a gay comedian or hypnotist show, plus a couple of the ships regular shows, sometimes camped-up little for fun. Overall, the trip is more like a comfortable gay-pride week around town than 24/7 gay bar/nightclub.

Yes, fun-loving straight friends/couples can come & join fun as long as they`re in to it & want to have great time & are comfortable seeing guys kiss in public! ;) Usually, they would be part of a group with gay friends.

By the way, the movie `Boat Trip` wasn`t not really representative. you don`t see leathermen with `ass-less chaps` strolling through the lobby on a leash. They could have had so much more fun with it if they just showed a real cruise!

gopbol 		I don`t think the ticket office asks for proof of preference, so I think they would be allowed in that respect.
But as Festus said, why would he want to; Being a `gay` cruise, most men on board would automatically think he was gay, so he`d have to expect to get hit on at sometime, & be aware he`s on our turf, & might get thrown over-board if he gets all upset and goes off at them;

I think any str8 man that knowingly goes on a gay cruise, probably isn`t str8 at all

twinklover 		An ocean cruise expressly designed for & marketed to gay community (I would have thought that was rather self evident from It`s name but(!) I suppose it`s better to ask & be sure than to assume. ) I`m sure a str8 man can`t be BARRED from going on a gay cruise (what a strange case of reverse discrimination) but(!) he`d better be ready to camp it up quite a bit.

EDIT: Yes, you`re right; It`s more or less a massive gay bar dance party on a ship. In all fairness, not every guy is on make; many are there to get away from the str8 world, relax, & not have to worry about maintaining their `polite, gay sublimated social facade. ` When you say `fun,` do you mean `shuffleboard`? ;-)

gopbol 		A gay criuse is a cruise where it caters to either gay men, lesbians or both. I first heard of it when I watched Boat Trip then I looked it up on the internet & there it was. My partner & I want to go on 1 & enjoy being in a beatiful scenery with people who share our same sexuall preference & just enjoy the entertainment. I think it will be fun.
I`m sure you can get on the cruise as long as you pay but(!) baby you might not come home staright. LOL

gopbol 		If your straight why would you desire to? If it`s curiosity, go for it. But, if you`re str8, go on singles cruise, you`ll have more fun & feel more comfortable
